Shai McDonald is your 2012 Junior Barrel Racing and All
Around Champion. She is 12 years
old and is in the 6th grade. These are back-to-back championships for Shai. She rides the NRA Junior Barrel Horse
of the Year “Little Man”, who happens to be 18 years young. In 2011 she was the NWRA “Barrel Racing Rookie
of the Year” accomplishing this on her late horse “Ace Man”. The first year she competed in the NRA
(2010) she was the Reserve Champion Junior Barrel Racer on her 16 yr. old horse
“Payday”. I’m sure that we will be
seeing a lot of Shai in the future and she will be one to “reckon” with. Congratulations to this outstanding
young lady.
