John Deere

19 days and counting — Using a 9RX with a putter in the drawbar, AutoTrac™ and SF3, Western Sales in Saskatchewan, Canada, has been testing the accuracy of the ...SF3 signal. Not only is the putter knocking the golf ball off the tee with no adjustments, this time the golf tee broke, meaning it's under 1/2-inch accuracy! Check out the season-long accuracy you get with the StarFire™ 6000 and SF3. http://bit.ly/2jMASOi

Meet Your 2016 Bareback Riding Champion

Shawn Perkins came into the 2016 NRA Finals on a roll. In the regular season he took home checks from 15 different rodeos. Perkins had just over a $100 lead on Troy Kirkpatrick, leaving the bareback riding a race to the finish. In round one both Perkins and Kirkpatrick rode but were unable to cash in. This was opening a door for last year’s champion Tristen Hansen. Hansen mathematically still had a shot at back-to-back titles. In round 2 Perkins again rode but was not able to place in the top 4 making his lead over Hansen decrease fast. At this point Tristen needed the round 3 win and needed Perkins to get bucked off. Shawn knew he needed to ride this horse just to be able to hold the standings lead. The Roberts, MT cowboy made another ride and was able to post a score but again was unable to cash in on some round money. Perkins was able to get some average money and keep the lead for the year-end standings. We know it wasn’t the finals Perkins was hoping for but he was able to keep his lead he worked so hard during the regular season to earn and is the 2016 NRA Bareback Riding Champion. Congratulations Shawn!

Meet Your 2016 Steer Wrestling Champion

You can say the steer wrestling was a tight match coming into the finals and everyone made sure it would stay that way.  Going into the 2016 NRA Finals, Duston Stephens had just under a $100 lead over Hardin cowboy Trevin Bauman.  The young cowboy from Hardin made his move to the top in the first round with a 5.8 second run to put him first in the round.  Duston would then answer right back placing in the 2nd round and getting the 3rd round win.  Trevin had some unfortunate luck in rounds 2 and 3 and wasn’t able to cash in.  This would set Duston up for 2nd place in the average as well as the year end title.  Congratulations Duston on your 2016 Northern Rodeo Association Steer Wrestling title.

Meet your 2016 Tie Down Roping Champion

Dillon Hahnkamp had one heck of a regular season. The young cowboy from Melrose won three rodeos, Ennis, Three Forks and Eureka. This shot him straight to the top the leader board. Coming into the 2016 NRA Finals Hahnkamp had just over a $700 lead on Helena cowboy Jade Gardner. Jade had some tuff luck in the first round and allowed Hahnkamp to extend his lead just a little more. Jade then answered back in the 2nd round with an 8.6 second run, splitting the round with Kevin Peterson, 2014 Men’s All-Around Champion. It all came down to what would happen in the last and final round. Dillon made sure that these veterans knew this young cowboy meant business. He won the final round with a 10.3 and placed 3rd in the average, making him your 2016 NRA Tie Down Roping Champion. Congratulations Dillon this is the first of many!
